Ferrous Sulphate Monohydrate...

Product Details:

Ferrous sulphate is a salt with the formula FeSO4. It is used medically to treat iron deficiency, and also for industrial applications. Known since ancient times as copperas and as green vitriol, the blue-green Hyptahydrate is the most common form of this material. All iron sulphates dissolve in water to give the same aqua complex [Fe(H2O)6]2+, which has octahedral molecular geometry and is paramagnetic.

Ferrous Sulphate is produced in 2 forms, Monohydrate and Hyptahydrate. The difference between the products is the degree of drying it underwent. Monohydrate has been dried further than Hyptahydrate, and is freer flowing.

This product is used in the chemical industry as a neutralising agent for Cyanide solutions, as a trace element in fertilisers and as a source of the red pigment, ferric oxide.

Ferrous Monohydrate is suitable as a stock feed micro ingredient. The product satisfies stringent requirements for particle size and heavy metal content.
